Many people have been asking for help for their first steps in Wicca
and I have been giving the link to Scott Cunningham’s book for the Practical Guide to Wicca. I just wanted to explain that I do this not because I’m bored to answer or something like that but because 1) I believe this book can help many people to their first steps like it did with me back then. 2) I don’t know the people sending me the messages so I cannot trully give advice when I don’t know someone personally as to help the best I could and 3) reading a book with so much info is an exercise itself for the newbies to see how devoted they can be and how they can work in their path on their own with a book as their companion.
I know many might think a book can’t help that much when there is so much to be learnt and understood but I think it’s the best way for someone to get solid info without judgment by others or confusion from a place like the internet, to have their time to exploit it to the fullest AND to devote time for their cause by reading the book more than once as to “digest” everything it offers.
Certainly, the Practical Guide is only the beginning and the first step to the path but it’s a milestone for me and I think it will help the ones who read it to understand how Wicca works, to see if indeed WIcca is their path and to have some decent knoweledge of the path, of course do not expect to become experts or specialists in such a vast field just by reading one book, the Practical Guide is only a step, the path however is revealed before you…. :)

Hi, I've been a solitary witch & a Wiccan for a while now, but I can't seem to figure out how to cleanse a space for a ritual or cast a circle. I'm highly embarrassed to say that I don't really know how to do any rituals either. There is so much different information everywhere & I don't have anyone else that I can talk to. Can you help me out?
