Those asking about remaining chaste might find the goddess Vesta a good place to start. The Vestales were a full time priesthood.
Thank you to that anon who answered my question, but I have been feeling as if I should devote myself to remain chaste and a virgin for my whole life. Is this a silly notion and choice?

I don’t think it’s a silly notion, but I also believe that we humans should be able to try all aspects of our nature, the sexual included :)

On the humorously opposite side of the chaste person, who I find awesome, I'm an asexual person. Remaining chaste wouldn't be a good "test" for me. I think it would be delightfully ironic if a fertility god/dess chose me though and told me to go out and have sex. :P

haha same here… I’m still a unicorn because I just haven’t been in a proper relationship… having a Goddess like Aphrodite choosing me at the end will be a huuge problem… so far I feel close to Pan and Artmeis so we’re good :P

As to the virgin question: I am devoted to a god, and part of my vow to Him is to remain chaste for a year and a day.

This may be an odd yet interesting question and might make some people feel awkward. However I was wondering if you knew of any Pagan/Wiccans who decided to remain virgins in devotion to virginal Goddesses? )O( Blessings

well speaking personally I haven’t met someone who is still a virgin because of their devotion to a Goddess like Artemis or Athena

Hey there, about the anon who asked about bear Gods: I know of Ursun, the Father of Bears. Artemis, though a Goddes, is the Goddess of Bears (among other wild animals, but mostly bears). "At the temple of Artemis in Brauronia, during a festival held every five years, two young girls aged five and ten wore yellow bearskin robes and performed the bear dance." (wikipedia). Other Goddesses include Artio, Artaius, Andarta and Matunos. :) Not many Gods out there that I can find -- I'll look more!
I actually will back up the last anon's advice to check out finnish pantheon. I am a devotee to a bear god who has those characteristics, particularly the whole name-avoidance thing (He only lets me call Him by a nickname). Though I am still uncertain if He is from any particular pantheon. 1st anon: give me a shout on my pagan blog, we can share experiences :)
there you are :)
Blessed Be )O(
